Emotional Feng Shui Techniques to Combat Holiday Stress
There are just so many things going on that it can be overwhelming.
For example, I know that this is supposed to be the “happiest” time of year and I should feel festive, but right now I’m just not feeling it. It isn’t that my life is bad, on the contrary, but sometimes life can be, well Life!
If you are like me, you try to explain and justify it all away ie; it’s menopause, my birthday, getting older, personal &/or financial responsibilities, and family health issues. These are things that happen every single day, but sometimes it gets to be too much.
I was talking with my Mom last week and I told her that I kinda feel like I’m under a compost heap.💩 I know, I’ll blossom and be a beautiful flower in the spring,🌷 but right now, it’s just dark, smelly and crappy compost…germinating and looking ugly.
Do you go through times like that?
I believe that everything that we go through is to make us stronger and better.
When I start to feel this way I know it’s time to do some “Emotional Feng Shui”. This is a powerful technique that is sure to get you out of the rut and back on track to accomplish all your holiday tasks and with a “real” smile on your face and in your heart. 😉
Emotional Feng Shui Practice
Just as you would clear the clutter in your home, we also need to clear the clutter from our physical bodies. Often times we don’t realize that we literally “pick up” energy from people, places and things. If we aren’t conscious of what we are doing we can become “affected” from the vibrational gunk.
Here’s my “Emotional Feng Shui Easy Action Guide” to clear your emotional, spiritual and physical bodies:
-
Close your eyes
-
Place your hands over your heart
-
Breathe-Inhale deeply and exhale 10 times
-
Brush it off- Using a sweeping motion with your hands, “wipe off” your head, shoulders, arms, torso, legs, feet and finally shake it all off of your hands.
-
Put your hands back over your heart
-
Connect-With your feet planted firmly on the ground, feel the earth beneath you.
-
Breathe-Inhale deeply and exhale 10 times
-
Gratitude-Give thanks for this moment to get centered and clear.
-
Don’t forget the H2O💧- It’s so important to stay hydrated when we are juggling a million things. Keep your water bottle filled up and nearby.
Use this technique anytime life gets hectic and you need to feel more in balance.
