Do you ever feel stuck? Like your life is just not going anywhere and no matter what you do you’re just spinning your wheels? Sometimes just by making simple changes in our environment we can make space for better things to come into our lives.
One of my favorite ways to shift things and get things moving in my life is to have a full moon releasing ceremony. Tomorrow night is the full moon and the perfect time for a releasing ceremony.
The full moon is the ideal time to release any blockages that may be holding you back.
Now when I say is your life stuck, that could be in your work life, that could be in your home life, your love life, or another aspect, wherever it is, let’s focus there.
When I do my releasing ceremony I like to sit down and get really clear on what it is that I’m wanting to shift and change and what I’m trying to release. I keep a special journal just for this purpose. This way I can write everything down and I get very detailed about where I’m wanting to make changes in my life.
Once I have listed it all out, maybe I’m releasing dairy because it causes me to be congested and anytime I have it, I end up coughing and choking the next day or giving up those expensive coffees in the morning and putting that money in a savings account for increased prosperity, or being more tolerant and not getting angry at the rude driver that cut you off.
Regardless of what you want to shift or change just write it out on your paper. I don’t know about you, but for me I have to be able to see things so once it’s on paper it’s a lot more clear for me.
The next thing is to prepare for the ceremony so you’ll need to prepare all of the materials that you’re going to use.
This consists of:
- a Candle
- Dish of water
- Crystals, gemstones
- Lighter or matches
Utilize any sacred items that are special to you in the ceremony.
Once you have all your items in place it’s time to begin, so take a moment and close your eyes, take a few deep breaths and get centered.
At this point go ahead and ignite your candle, light the sage and smudge yourself and the space.
Now you’re ready to begin the ceremony!
Take your journal paper and read it aloud. Read everything that you have written. Now place the paper in a fire safe container like an abalone shell or ceramic bowl. You can choose to burn your paper (very carefully) or if it’s not safe to burn you can douse the paper in the water and let it disintegrate that way.
At the end of your ceremony always give thanks to Creator, the Divine, God, Goddess, the nameless One. Whoever your higher power is, be in gratitude for having this moment of ceremony and this moment of releasing.
You can “seal” the ceremony by saying a closing prayer. You might say something like:
“I release that which no longer serves me. I release any and all pain. I release any blocks that keep me from my connection with the divine. I cut all cords connecting me to trauma from my past. Today is a new day, free of guilt, hurt, and the self-bondage that keeps me from manifesting the life that I desire and deserve. And So It Is. Amen. Aho. Namaste. Ometeotl.”
